My goal here is to give you the best possible experience for listening, decoding, and recording signals that you might find interesting. There's an RF filter (MW, FM, DAB filters) active across all bands—except for MW, FM, and DAB, of course. Leave the filter on for those, and you’ll end up listening to… well, nothing... And last but not least, for SUB 2MHz, I've also set up "HDR" —a special little trick that the SDRplay RSPdx offers, that "promises" to enhances the RF spectrum on those frequencies.
Equipment:
Radios: SDRplay RSPdx, RTLSDR (please use for decoding ADSB, LPD433 etc.. so the main RSPdx is available for shortwave listening, thanks)
Antennas: EFHW (w/ 80m coil, @5m, ~24m long) || Cushcraft R8 Vertical (tuned for 40,30,20,15,10,6m bands) || MLA30+ (Secondary, @6m) || 20m Dipole (@4m ~9m long) || QFH Helical ANT (tuned for 137MHz, used for VHF-UHF)
Server: My old laptop, Dell Inspiron, Intel Core i5, 16GB Ram, HDD
